Modellers Without Borders has a need for a Communications Director. This position is expected to be a part time, volunteer position. Current time obligations are less than 3 hours per week, but we expect this to expand during 2025 as we expand communications channels. Once stable this position should only require 1-4 hours per week. It is expected that a Newsletter Editor and Social Media Manager will report to the Communications Director.

Job Description:This position is a member of the Board of Directors, reporting to the entire Board and interfacing with company managers and supporting contractors to ensure delivery of company news via newsletters, email, and social media.

Specific Responsibilities:– Create and manage the Communications Strategy 
– Set communications goals and objectives
– Coordinate the drafting and posting of event announcements
– Oversee a recurring newsletter update, published via the Content Management System and sent to subscribers
– Coordinate authoring and editing of blog posts
– Cross-post links/posts from one social media channel to all others where MWB has a presence
Qualifications:– Experience with social media to include blog and vlog
– Experience managing costs and keeping within budget
– WordPress experience a plus
