Modellers Without Borders (MWB) will provide value to its subscribers and stakeholders by curating, organizing, creating, and recommending content related to modelling techniques and modelling products. MWB’s recommendation will serve as an endorsement of the quality and veracity of content created by others.
This work will be the responsibility of the Content Curation Team. That team will consist of a Librarian and Curators who will curate content to meet the needs of MWB subscribers and the modelling community. These positions are expected to be a part time, volunteer positions. Current time obligations are less than 3 hours per week, but we expect this to expand during 2025 as we develop MWB’s Educational Services. Once stable these positions should only require 1-4 hours per week. These positions will report MWB’s Vice President for Education and Outreach. | Job Description: | This position reports to the MWB Vice President for Education & Outreach. This person maintains the library of MWB-approved electronic content products and a listing of non-electronic items. This person will act as the web master/editor for the education portion(s) of the MWB website(s). |
| Specific Responsibilities: | As a member of the Content Curation Team, establish and maintain standards of excellence for MWB-approved content and production quality. Create and manage the IT tools as needed to provide user-friendly access to the approved modelling content. This will be done within all pertinent copyright laws and in partnership with the content creators. Organize and maintain MWB-approved content in an orderly and easily searchable fashion. Manage language and translation issues. Initially these educational products will be offered only in English. As MWB grows, allowance for curation by language may become necessary. |
| Qualifications: | Experience with product cataloguing, library/museum systems, and/or quality management systems is recommended. Knowledge of modelling techniques, tools, and supplies is mandatory. Experience with web site management is mandatory. |
