Tamiya’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and company CEO, Tamiya Shunsaku, passed away last Friday at the blessed age of 90.
The man was a legend among the scale modelling community for his immense contributions to the world of model building, bringing joy and inspiration to countless people around the world, inspiring all ages with the products of high quality, Shunsaku-san was most active in to make sure it was upheld at all times.

The funeral services are yet to be determined, but for now, the family, as per wishes of the deceased, kindly request to let them have an intimate service. Flowers, incense or other gifts, while appreciated, are requested not to be sent nor offered at this time.

A farewell party and subsequent announcements will be made public in the coming days.
