Modellers Without Borders Treasurer Steve Lee participated in Mid-Atlantic Railroad Prototype Modelers 2025, which took place 11-14 September in the Washington, DC-Baltimore, Maryland area. The exhibition portion of MARPM 2025, was held at the Double Tree BWI Airport in Linthicum, Maryland.
The goal of the MARPM event is to promote railroad modeling and craftsmanship with an emphasis on fidelity to the technical and historical aspects of prototype, real-world trains. RPM-style events emphasize sharing of information and technique in a variety of ways: clinics, or demonstrations; a non-competitive exhibition; and opportunities to visit and operate individual modelers’ home railroad layouts.
Indeed, home layout visits and operating sessions were the emphasis of the first two days of MARPM. Steve visited several home layouts and the exhibition, and shared these photos of remarkable railroad modeling on display.
