Japanese mainstay Tamiya surprises the world by unveiling a new tooling on the venerable F-14D Super Tomcat, in 1/72 scale, on a national convention this week!
Part of the iconic Warbird Collection, it is one of the few jets included in this proverbial hall of fame, and if any aircraft deserves induction, it definitely is the F-14, and Tamiya being Tamiya, they made sure she will come in with a bang. A fresh tooling, great details and options, making this ‘Carrier Cat’ stand out even in her sprues!
In terms of versions, the choices will come down to 5 different aircraft, including the Bounty Hunters, Black Lions (both hi-viz and the more commonplace lo-viz), the test squadron, and the Grim Reapers.
Planned release will probably be Spring or Summer 2026!
