Description: I was listening to a playlist of lore videos on the Sabat Worlds Crusade from the Warhammer 40k universe some time ago and I was struck by one of the chaos factions in that war.
The Blood Pact are a rare and unique Khorne cult, with a very distinct identity. What struck me most was their combat discipline and effectiveness, making them the chaos equivalent of the Imperial Guards regiments of the Imperium.
The McFarlane Toys artist proof Traitor Guard figure (launched when Darktide came out) provided the excellent portent for a good depiction of a Blood Pact trooper.
The iron mask specific for all Blood Pact units I had to make from scratch using green stuff putty from Green Stuff World and the roughness of it goes well with the overall theme of a messy, brutal chaos cult.
I tried to make the figure extra dirty and worn, seeing as they are a cult that rely mostly on gear plundered from the Imperial Guard.
