Description:This diorama features some german soldiers in February 1945, re-stocking and taking a break from the war. It is more of a vignette as there is no more storytelling than that, although I tried to create small scenes within the diorama itself: A cat and a dog staring each other down, to the amusement of the soldiers. A tired tanker carrying some fuel. A group of officers planning their next move. Soldiers loading some ammunition. The build itself features a Tiger (Rye Field Model), a Flak43 (Trumpeter) and an abandoned BMW motorcycle (Tamiya). It was quite an exercise in getting the winter features exactly right: snow, thawing snow, snow powder and ice and realistic amounts. It’s easy to get carried away or applying to little, so a lot of attention went into this.
