Description: Kagero Class Destroyer IJN Amatsukaze under attack by USAAF B-25 gunship bombers. Scene depicts Amatsukaze after being strafed and hit by two 500 lb. bombs. Flames and smoke pour from her wrecked stern and midships. The odd appearances of the bow and bridge are the aftermath of a torpedo attack earlier in the war where the Amatsukaze lost her forward hull back to her aft funnel. She was fitted with a replacement bow and bridge and pressed into coastal escort duties. The deck is littered with wreckage and casualties as well as surviving crew manning the starboard 25mm AA mounts. Shell slashes off the starboard bow are from the guns of an unseen B-25.
