Description: Built Spring-Summer 2025
Named Stuart Little for his little size.
Scope of Work: I chose to add cast texture, missing bolt detail on the upper hull, mounting points for sand shields and straps made from Tamiya tape for the pioneer tools. Replaced all grab handles with wire. I also replaced the spare track holders with the kit tracks and rebuilt holders. Finally, I used Djiti’s Productions 3D printed tracks; they are a little bit of stiff fit but they do the trick with patience.
The other major addition was the “brush guard” added in front of the bow machine gun. This was a common feature seen on Stuarts of 33rd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Division on Normandy. This I did with scrap photoetch and Evergreen strip.
Stowage is from Value Gear Details and Black Dog with tarps made the old-fashioned way with tissue and white glue diluted with water. Tow cable from Eureka XXL.
Paint: Ammo olive drabs base coated and post shaded, details with Ammos and Vallejos
Decals came from Star Decals’ new set.
The base is 1/72 but perfectly sized for Stuart Little, it is from HQ 72 Resin Products. Painted with acrylics and spruced up with VMS and Ammo products.
Weathering: Ammo enamels, oil brushers and pigments plus Vallejo acrylic mud.
