Description: Bill Mauldin’s cartoons were the voice of the US Army GI in the Second World War. His characters, Willie and Joe, were iconic and I thought it would be fun to do them in miniature. Mauldin had a particular beef with GEN Patton (or maybe it was the other way around) and he pokes fun at his spit and polish reputation with the always disheveled Willie and Joe.
