Description: I saw a scratch built model of this vehicle at Valley Plaza Hobbies in California in 1968. I’ve always wanted to build one for myself. Got this kit in 2019. And now I have one. Took 308 hours to complete.

Used 8 Griffon Model Photo Etch (PE) kits and 2 Voyager PE kits. Used 675 PE parts on this project. And I didn’t use them all. The windshield was rebuilt with 17 PE parts. Open ammo boxes were made from a Griffon PE kit. Rebuilt the seat bench supports from wire. Rear storage bins and doors were replaced with PE parts. There were 21 PE parts for the foot rest/firing pedal. 19 PE parts were used for the ammo tray. Used 161 PE parts on the flak gun alone. Rifle rack was replaced with new PE parts.

Hood damage was made by thinning out the inside of the hood until it is paper thin, then carefully cut through hood and make a hole with ragged edges. Added reflecting foil inside the head lights.

Dirty footprints were added to the floor of the cab. Weathering, mud and pin washes were done with oils.
