Description: The inspiration for this model came from one of the very few photos of a romanian StuG III, taken in Moravia April 1945. It also depicts either the crew or mountain troops on it, which I also tried to replicate with a figure in 1/35. The difficult part was the fact that there are very few depictions in plastic of romanian troops and none of romanian tankers specifically (to my knowledge, at least).
So I had to improvise and convert the figure of a MiniArt british tanker figurine (which has a nice pose), since their attire is most similar to that of romanian tankers of the age (black beret and simple khaki overalls).
I also decided to upgrade the model with photoetched shurzen plates plus an aftermarket metal barrel for the cannon, since they are vastly superior to the basic plastic one the good old Tamiya kit.
