Description: Another photo based diorama, this one from the Korean War.
This one was one of my difficult dioramas to research, the stores about the battle of the Chosin river valley are… horrific, almost unbelievable.
I picked this scene as it was one that was the easiest to compose, and conveyed a story, though it proved to be difficult to actually built.
It’s mostly built from garbage and construction insulation foam, deer hair for the roof grass, talc for the snow, and scratch built treadway bridges.
All figures and vehicles were painted with Vallejo model air and model colour, and weathering/environmental effects were done with oil paint and homemade pastel chalk pigments.
