Description: Introducing the Wing Gundam Zero Ver. Synth, my synthwave-inspired take on the Wing Gundam Zero Honoo. As an 80s child steeped in neon-lit electronica, I envisioned a kit pulsating with bold gradients and glowing edges—an homage to vaporwave’s dreamy nostalgia. This build embodies a machine recharged by retro-futuristic soundscapes, with every hue and panel echoing a synth melody.

For this competition entry, I tackled seam lines using thin cement and liquid putty, while covering the gaps under the feet with custom-cut PLA plates. I also re-scribed key panels to ensure an uninterrupted flow for my fluorescent panel liners, marrying technical finesse with stylistic intent.

The airbrushed features include two custom acrylic gradients: warm pink → orange → yellow and cool purple → teal → baby blue, each mixed with fluorescent acrylics. Effect parts received an ombré of dual color-shift metallic paints (blue to orange), while mobile joints and weaponry sport a subtle shift beneath dry-brushed neon metallic blue. Thruster nozzles and muzzles show burn damage, all sealed in a glossy acrylic topcoat to amplify neon vibrancy.

I introduced a two-stage fluorescent panel lining—an initial white ink layer followed by neon green—to show under normal lighting and guarantee radiance under black light. Green metallic accents nod to the original Honoo design. I’d ask that Image 08 (Front-Right) be used to evaluate the posing of the kit if possible.

This kit represents two months of dedication despite severe back pain, and I hope viewers feel the pulsing energy of my synth-charged vision.
