Description: I have a copy of the reference book, T-55 Special & Recovery Vehicles in Detail by Wings & Wheels Publications. The cover featured the ZS-55AM. It caught my attention because of the bright yellow finish. I found out that there is a conversion set for this model using the Tamiya T-55 as the base model. I went an bought the kits and started working on it. The casted resin and photo etched parts was very challenging but I raised the level by creating an interior for it. The WWP included detailed interior shots which I used to create the interior. I wanted the completed model to have the hatches open. The ZS-55AM featured in the book had minimal weathering and that’s what I mimicked for my model. As mentioned, the base model is the Tamiya T-55 and I used an after-market conversion set for the exterior. I built the interior cabin, driver and commander, from scratch. Painting was achieved via airbrush using AK Interactive Real Color. For weathering, I just used pin wash and some pigments.
