In this video, I continue my 1/72 scale P-51 Mustang double build project. This time, I’m focusing on painting the markings, applying decals, and showing a simple technique for removing the clear carrier film from decals.

I’ll be working on both Mustangs — the P-51B in Dark Green / Medium Sea Grey camouflage with invasion stripes, and the P-51D in natural metal finish.

One of the most interesting parts of this episode is the decal application. Since the decals in both kits were printed by Techmod, I decided to use a technique for removing the clear carrier film with lighter fluid.

I’ll show you the entire process step by step — from preparing and masking the markings, through applying the decals with Mr. Mark Setter Neo and Micro Sol, to carefully removing the carrier film.
