Pouring epoxy resin deeper doesn’t automatically make it look deeper.

In this build I created a 4.5cm deep resin sea as part of the sea/harbour board.

The thickness alone isn’t what makes it feel deep.

In this video I break down the structural design, layered tinting, surface texture and scale tricks that create the illusion of depth in miniature resin water.

Whether you’re building a wargaming board, diorama ocean, resin river or realistic shoreline terrain, these principles apply to any epoxy resin water feature.

Very realistic looking water, lots of detail, and the colors, just awesome. What is the brand of expoxy you are using, I’ve used a few modeling resin water materials but never expoxy, I noticed you had no air bubbles, great work 😀
