Vice President Local Club Liaison

Position Overview:
The Vice President – Local Club Liaison is a crucial leadership role within the Modellers Without Borders Board of Directors, responsible for bridging the gap and fostering effective communication between the international and national boards of the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring alignment of goals and strategies across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the MWB Board and the various Club Liaisons on national boards of the organization.
  2. Facilitate regular communication channels and interactions to ensure a seamless flow of information and collaboration between the international and national levels.
  3. Partner with national board representatives to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and relay relevant information back to the MWB Board.
  4. Advocate for the interests and initiatives of Local Clubs within the International Board, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes.
  5. Collaborate with international and national board members to implement
    organizational strategies, programs, and initiatives at the local level.
  6. Support the development of best practices, resources, and tools to enhance the effectiveness and impact of Local Clubs within the organization.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the performance and alignment of Local Clubs with the overall mission and goals of the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. A modeller who creates small versions of bigger things, preferably in multiple genre.
  2. Previous experience in a leadership role within an organization, preferably at the national or local level in the modelling community.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  4. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex dynamics between international, national and local entities.
  5. Knowledge of MWB’s structure, mission, values, and strategic priorities.
  6. Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration within the modelling community.
